Well my interview was cancelled because the person who was supposed to do it was off sick, and they couldn't find the application forms to get anyone else to do them. I will be contacted for another date... at some point.
Not the end of the world as it was the interview for the Bank (temp) job, but it's still irritating.

| Scratch One Car |

Yesterday I wrote my car off.
I just slid up behind another car that braked in front of me, and I couldn't stop fast enough. His car just had a scratch on the bumber. Mine did look a bit bent in the front, but I thought that it could be hammered out.
Turns out lots is bent, radiator is bent, wings have popped out, lights are unseated, bumper is shredded. This basically means that it will cost more than the car is worth to repair.
They only give you a courtesy car if your car is being repaired, not whilst you are sitting around waiting for them to give you money for a new car.
Anyway, what there is of my social life will need to be cancelled for a while until I have a car. I have to shell out the excess no matter what happens and that pretty much cleans me out.
The dissertation is due at the beginning of April, so I would probably need to spend my weekends panicing and writing as I have to start placement soon and will have to become friends with the buses and trains of Wiltshire.

| Did some Christmas Shipping |

Hiya Iz, I got your nudge.
I have done some Christmas shopping, still need to do some more. My last deadline for the year is on Friday, so I hope to be feeling more relaxed after that.
Been consuming a reasonable amount of mulled wine, yum.
I'm a bit happier since I decided I didn't want to work on a ward, although I have yet to find out where else newly qualified mental health nurses can get work. Looks like I'm going to finish the course without taking a 6 month break... which I had considered for a while. One of my friends on the course just lost her mother, which sort of put things in perspective.
I won a prize on classicFM last Sunday, which I sent to my now motherless friend in the hope it might cheer her up. They were giving away things from the world vision christmas catalogue, my prize happened to be funding for a teacher to reduce class sizes in India.

It's just gone 10am and I have 3 hours at least until my late shift starts. However it is raining outside and a cold breeze is blowing through the cracks in the window. Tiredness is tempting me to curl up under the warm duvet rather than searching for useful chores to perform...
I've just posted a few bits on Just-a-place and am thinking about Ars characters with half a brain. The other half is making a list of the things I haven't got round to yet.... which I should commit to paper before I get tempted to type them.
Been playing ATITD beta sporadically this week, however the beta is about to end and the game won't re-open until 5pm on Saturday... but I can be there it turns out. Still haven't filled in that Sainsburys application form... I do want more cash but the thought of losing a lot of 'free' time is putting me off... nevertheless... I should at least start it.
Right enough rambling.... going to do... something :) |

| Bad Hangover |

Hangover wasn't as pleasant as the video watching.
The trip to Wales was cancelled as the worker going was ill. So I slumped around and vaguely read stuff. Got a decent nights sleep. Now I have to get myself out the door by 9am so I can head off to Family Therapy.
